asus motherboards
I'm ready to buy an Asus MB. I'm confused about the following: 1. The differences between the 55 and 58 chipsets. 2.there seem to be 2 main classes of boards the P6 and P7 series. I'm assuming that the P7 is a later version? 3.Some of the reviews I've read recommend the LGA firm factor vs the 1156 differences?
Any help would be appreciated ! Sarg |

aight, just to clear some things up here
form factor is the shape/size of the mobo, such as ATX, micro ATX, ATX extended, etc... LGA is part of the socket type, such as the older LGA 775 socket you might have an intel celeron CPU in. the p55 chipset goes with the LGA 1156 socket, and is much more stable and reccomended over the x58 chipset. there is numerous memory and stability problems with the x58 chipset.
