stay away from the XFX cards. go with an asus or similar. there is a sticky that shows manufacturer quality on video cards in the audio/video section, choose a manufacturer from the top of the list.

might want to consider a slightly more powerful supply, as that CPU is power hungry and so is that card. reccomend corsair cmpu PSUs
the lower the percentage of max power on a PSU, the longer it will live. dont go overkill with a 1k watt tho, 600 aughtta be ok.

stay away from OCZ anything. for ram go with kingston corsair or a-data.

much better setup, should go together without a problem =D

card will be close, but should fit fine. 5'' tall card in 7.5'' wide case.

The motherboard you picked is Dual Channel so you want to buy ram in dual channel kits. For now, would get a 4gig set and if it looks like you need more ram, add a second set. This way you save money on the build.

I think we need to back this up a little before we start getting too specific.

What will be the purpose of your computer? Which software would you like to run and how fast? What is your budget?

i'd like to keep the budget under $1000. so far with everything im under the budget at about $930 ish.

i'll be using photoshop cs4 on it a lot at first and eventually cs5. and i'd also like it to "kinda" be a gaming computer. nothing real "extreme". maybe like the sims 3 and total war games and other stuff. i might use lightroom 3 on it. along with other programs for photography. i'll also be watching movies and stuff on it sometimes. i guess thats basically it

That Ultra case you listed doesn't come with fans. It has spots for 2 120mm fans, so would get at least 1 fan for the back of the case.

Where did you find Windows 7 for 30 bucks? It sounds a little suspicious. Do you have a link?
