This post makes no sense at all to me. What are you trying to accomplish? Can you describe your idea of what you are trying to accomplish?

XFX and Supertalent are junk, Gigabyte is not recommended. Seagate is not recommended, why would you need 12 gigs of ram? what are you using the machine for?

Looks like the second case you listed will support 2 motherboards.
The link for the ram doesn't work
Would look to Corsair for a PSU.
WD Black for HDs
I'm guesing that the links on top are parts your going to buy and the Intel system you already have and you are going to put both into that monster case.

So why do you want to put both systems inside the same case? That makes no sense.

putting both inside one case is impractical and would most likely require a custom made case, prolly about 300 bucks to start....

Have a look at some of the recent builds. That should give you a better idea of what does work and is reliable.

+1

Do you plan on never having a separate office or desk even?
Most people can get away with a tower under the desk where your legs are, but where would you even put that?

What about simple things like inserting a CD - either one person has to keep bothering the other or you have to keep getting up to change a CD, or insert a flash drive or memory card?

If you're buying your GF a gift, do her a favor and get her a decent laptop, if she's a photographer - that way she can actually upload and begin processing her images on site or if she's traveling it gives her a lot of flexibility instead of being tied to the beast of a machine, trying to concentrate on work while you're playing games 2 feet away!

If this is for you to be able to have a nice gaming PC and a server/host for a test lab, just buy another tower and use VMWare.

This pc would be in the same room and we would have it directly behind each persons desk which wouldnt both each other and this case would fit it perfectly.

I am lost with this post. What is the advantage for having both systems in the case? Is it space? I don't see a huge footprint savings at 24x18x18 inches.

Don't you think it would be romantic to have your PC and your girlfriend's PC in the same case? It's so much more intimate than having two separate cases sitting side by side.

It would be a genuine meshing of heart, mind, memory, cpu...

Actually, nevermind.

And if you ever break up you can give her all her components without the case just to twist that knife a little more!

The best thing that I've gotten out of this thread is orbrit's break up idea. You should try to accomplish this just in case that would ever happen. Just a big plastic bag full of parts, "here's your computer"

IMHO I think it's cute and all, but what about heat that's going to be in that one box? and cleaning it out every now and then?

Combining two computers into one is actually quite simple. Put two cases side by side and drive four sheet metal screws through the walls.

or Duct tape them together. Silver goes quite well with black..
Make sure you attach the right side panels together, have the fronts facing opposite directions for convenience, optimum air flow without restricting accessibility of the left side panel. Oh the possibilities!

There was a case by a particular manufacturer that would allow this. It had room for two systems, two PSUs, everything. I just can't remember which manufacturer it was; I think it was Thermaltake, but if it was them they no longer have that case available (I just looked at their website). If I remember correctly, this case was reviewed by MaximumPC magazine back in 2006/2007. Too bad I already got rid of those issues.

Yes, I am quite positive it was a Thermaltake case, but they no longer have it on their site and without a model number it's nigh impossible to see if any online store carries it.

But Lian-li has one (again, not on their website, grr) that it seems to be still around and would probably serve the function you want it for, dlwright91:
