i3 $800 gaming build
this build is going to be my second i3 build and is going to be used for mmo's (diablo 3, wow, etc) and not extremely heavily resourced games like crysis and such. i'm not a performance freak, but i'm looking to get the best bang for my buck. i do plan on crossfiring and adding various upgrades in the future to justify the 650w psu listed below. i'm not planning on oc'ing as for now.
what i have so far: Antec 900 mid atx case Intel i3 530 dual core cpu ASUS P7P55D-E LX LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX motherboard Diamond radeon hd 5770 1gb gddr5 gpu crucial 4gb(2x2) ddr3 1333 ram wd caviar black 500gb hdd corsair 80+ certified 650w psu sony optiarc sata dvd/cd-r drive Intel PWLA8391GT network card i'm just looking for any insight on how well my build is or if there are better parts to suit my needs. i'm also not very sure if i made a good choice on the motherboard. thanks in advance pcmech

Only problem there is that's not a Crossfire motherboard. It only has one x16 slot. You need the Pro version to do Crossfire. There are lesser boards with 2 slots, but the second slot only runs at x4. The Pro has 2 slots that both run at x8 in Crossfire.
You also don't need that network card, almost all new motherboards have a builtin 10/100/100 adapter. |

aside from what GLC said, looks good and should do the job nicely for your stated purposes. definately need the pro version of the board for xfire.

i would recommend sticking with asus. from my experience msi has some quality issues, but if you get a working board, they are quite good. rma service is mediocre.

I had an Antec 900 case and I hated it. Look at the Lancool.
