Heat sink compound?
Now built 2 working systems
![]() Just want to confirm that new processors don't require any extra heatsink compound? The AMD chip had a large area of grey, tacky stuff, but the i3 chip I fitted yesterday only seemed to have a couple of strips and didn't cover the surface. Is that OK? |

heatsinks that come with a CPU should already have enough thermal paste on them to do the job.
