The CPU you selected is a socket 775 and the mobo is 1366. Would drop to a 1156 socket board and matching CPU of the same socket.
Memory stay with Corsair/crucial.

Power supply: Excellent.
GPU: The only Fermi that's worth a %$#^%$ is the new GTX460 1gb. If you want something stronger, get an ATI. Memory: No no - don't get OCZ and don't get 4gb modules. Get 2x2gb kits. Suggest Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, or A-Data. At your budget point, you only need 4gb. Motherboard: No - get one of the Asus P7P55 boards. CPU: Get a socket 1156 i3, i5, or i7. For a gamer at this budget point, the GPU is a lot more important than the CPU. |
