Building an AMD Gaming Rig on a $900 Budget
I decided to lower my budget to $900 and build an AMD gaming computer instead of a more expensive Intel one. It doesn't have to be able to play the latest games, let alone at maxed out settings. It will primarily be for playing FPS games (Crysis, COD: MW2), so I invested more in the graphics card than the CPU.
Does my rig allow for easy, cheaper upgrades in case I decide I want to in the future? Are there any compatibility issues? Would you recommend other components instead? Here's the list of components. After shipping and rebates, total cost is about $920. |

What makes you think that an AMD rig won't be able to play games as good as Intel? After all the main factor in a gaming rig is the video card not the CPU.
Great list, only things I would change is get this motherboard instead and the power supply you chose is overkill I would get this one instead
