Need a few suggestions.
I'm looking to build another PC, but this time I'm lower on money. I'm looking to save money buy getting a case that comes with a power supply. If someone can find a good deal with that, it would be great. I'm also deciding to choose either AMD or Intel, but I'm not sure which one to pick. Which has the better price to performance ratio?

IMHO - going AMD is a great way to save cash on a PC.
These days, processors are so fast you don't need to worry about getting the fastest of the fast if you're not doing heavy hardcore 3D gaming or video processing. Check out pricewatch.com to find great deals on barebones computers (Case, PS, Board and Chip) ------------------------------- Matt Last edited by glc; 08-23-2010 at 11:43 AM. You also have to watch out for the size of the case in regards to the size of the video card (gaming cards). Cooling is a consideration as well, Antec and Coolermaster are generally the way to go, although you can buy a cheap case with good cooling and a solid power supply to match your requirements. AMD or Intel? Depends on what you are using the PC for but generally speaking, AMD offers a little more value when it comes to unlocking cores. |
