thermo controlled pc fans
i recently bought an antec 300 case and since it only come with rear and top fans i m looking for fans to put on the side and front.
i looked into it and the ultra thermo controlled is what im looking for . i want to connect them to the mother board and not with the molexs into the psu. i dont know if theres a better option i just need some recommendations on what 120mm fans to get for the case. the fans that came with the case are those 3 way switch ones. i have a ASUS p7p55d-e pro motherboard dont know if i have enough pc fan connections. |

Why do you think you need more fans than the case came with?

Which PSU do you have? You do not need more fans than your PSU's ability to generate waste heat.

i have a corsiar 750w non modular. two fans seems a little for me. i thinking that without a front fan air wont circulate smoothly wont keep my harddrive or video cards good enough

You don't need a front fan. The rear fans should be mounted to blow air out, and they will draw air in through the front just fine.

Ok I was just wondering if it was necessary to get extra fans for the case

It is not necessary unless you do have heat issues. You can add them at any time.

The downside to more fans is the noise. The fewer you can get by with, the better. My most recent build was intended to be super quiet, and it is. It's so much nicer to not hear a computer buzzing or roaring away.

Use the switches to control them. Run them as slow as you can while still keeping temperatures within reasonable limits.

You can get case fans without those giant 4 pin Molex connectors. Just pick fans with the smaller connectors that connect directly to the motherboard fan connectors. If you need extension cables then get those as well.
