New Build $1100
Hey guys I'm building a Computer for my Bro I have all the parts ready to go i'm just checking if these are compatible...looking for stability
Hes gonna be using his camera to save to computer and burn to DVDs...Camera records at 1080P Heres the list.. Looks like a solid build but you don't have an optical drive listed.

If it was me I would go for Win7 64-bit. He might want to add a couple gigs of RAM in the future and 32-bit will only recognize something like 3.2 or 3.6 or something like that. Might not be a big deal for most but maybe something to consider.

How much gaming does he want to do? If he's a gamer you need to spend more on the video card and you can downgrade the CPU to an i5-750 or 760 to save money - if he's not going to game you can go considerably lower on the video card. The 5770 is a compromise video card. It will do everything but it's not that strong a gamer.

You probably want a 5830 at the very least for gaming...about $200. There is also a 460 with 1GB of video RAM for around $230.

Hardly any gaming..gaming would most likely be 2 or 3%..hes mostly going to be rendering movies..pictures....all that cpu intensive stuff...

For rendering movies any decent quad core will do the job, something like the i5-750 or the AMD 965 unless he is in some kind of race or competition to finish rendering real quick those processors are more than sufficient for the job!
I would not waste any money on a video card higher than a 5670 for this rig if the intention is not to game. A-DATA are good but for rendering I would use Crucial or Kingston for sure!
