i7-950 is not compatible with the p55 chipset. Asus is recommended over Gigabyte.
The 1200W power supply is beyond overkill. A 550W is more than enough.
Is this some kind of passive advertising for Microcenter?
That Seagate hard drive is out of style and Seagate has issues with firmware we would recommend a WD Green for this application, 500GB is a little too small for a video editing rig this here would be a better choice Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EADS 1TB 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

DO NOT BUY A BFG POWER SUPPLY. There is no warranty or support, the company is out of business.

Get an Asus P7P55D-E Pro and an i7-870.

Why are you thinking of multiple video cards? Is this machine also going to be a gamer?

The hard drive you want is one of the WD Black SATA 6.0 drives.
