Building a gaming PC from scratch.

Hey guys, I'm working on a parts list so i can work on building my own gaming rig. Im looking for clarification whether the parts will work together or not and tips on what I have already haha

Current Parts List:

Harddrive:
Western Digital Caviar Black WD7501AALS 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Motherboard:
MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

Video card x2:
GIGABYTE GV-R467ZL-1GI Radeon HD 4670 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

CD Drive:
SONY Black SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model DDU1681S-0B - OEM

Memory:
CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-6400C5C

Power Supply:
COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M600 RS-600-AMBA-D3 600W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Processor:
Intel Pentium E6600 Wolfdale 3.06GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor BX80571E6600

So far the total for the rig is $600.40

Im still working on the list but any help would be appreciated.

Edit to answer Raiden's questions.

The budget is less of a concern because I plan on asking for alot of these parts for x-mas haha. im looking to be able to play games like crysis, SC2, fallout3 (laptop cant play it -.-) and similar games on a higher graphics

Whats your budget? I'm guessing $700?
What games are you looking to play and at what settings?

if you can also put the name of the parts and not just the link like so

Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ,comes with Three Fans-1x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1x Top 140mm Fan, 1x Rear 120mm Fan, option Fans-2x Side 120mm Fan

SAMSUNG EcoGreen F2 HD103SI 1TB 5400 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...SID=e48bw2y3af

it'd be much easier.

on a side note any reason y u chose the Samsung HDD?
the recommended one here on the site is a WD HDD Black

Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

caviar black offers the best performance for a gaming rig.

the best route to go for any gaming rig is to get the best single graphics card you can get, perhaps a 4850 would do you better. i might even be able to queeze in a gtx 460 on that budget... ill see what i can muster up.

you picked an intel CPU and an AMD board, which do you want, they are not compatible.

great psu, but extreme overkill, and its the single most expencive part in your list lol.

not meaning to bash, please dont take it that way, just trying to help you out is all.

if thats the case how much are u willing to max? $1,000?
how much can u get?

Hmm i'm not quite sure if the market will change now till christmas...i'm sure that it will..

if you looking to play crysis at max settings..a good amount is going be spent on the video card...

replace the HD with a Western Digital Caviar black..
lower the PSU too 650W or maybe even 600W..750W is overkill especially if your not gonna be using a high end video card

replace G skill ram with corsair or A data..

ok thanks for the ideas, ill go look through some more parts, and will update the list once i find the ones i like

updated the list with the new parts.

someone said a single, but more powerful video card is better, should i be looking into doing that instead of getting 2 1gig cards?

To the original poster:

Let's go back to square 1. Your list is full of incompatibilities. Take the offered suggestions into account and post a new list, please.

Also note - putting a build list together now for a December buy is way too early.
