Pc confused

Can anyone tell me if i5 intel core will work with asrock x58 extremee mobo? Or will need an i7 core.

X58 will only take a socket 1366 i7. If you don't already have that motherboard, don't buy it. Buy an Asus P55 socket 1156 board.

EDIT: Threads merged, please keep all questions about a build in one thread.

EDIT: Get an Asus P7P55D-E or P7P55D-E Pro board and an i5-760 or i7-870. Stay away from G.skill right now, get one or two 2x2gb kits of Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, or A-Data ram.

Get a GTX460 1gb card or a Radeon 5830 or 5850.
