Building my first PC

The graphics card I bought needs two 6-pin PCI express supplementry power connectors and my power supply only has one! do I need to get another power supply or is there a way around this?

Which power supply and graphics card do you have? We need to know this in order to answer your question.

I have a Geforce GTX 465 graphics card and Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus RS-500-PCAR-J3 500W ATX12V V2.3 Power Supply

Your Geforce GTX 465 graphics card requires:

550W PCI Express®-compliant system power supply with a combined 12V current rating of 46A or more

You need a better PSU. Here's a few to choose from:
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!

Be careful with the Seaconic its a quality unit, but its power conncetor is only 24 pin. It will depend on your MB if you can use it.

Last note, I've already deleted my newegg promo's so I don't know what's on sale.
