Post Is this a good pc?

Hi everyone, this will be my first time building a computer and I would like to know if the items listed below would make up for a solid pc.

Case: Newegg.ca - COOLER MASTER HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP Black Steel + Plastic and Mesh Bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Hard Drive: Newegg.ca - Western Digital Caviar Blue WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Power Supply: Newegg.ca - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

CD/DVD Drive/Burner: Newegg.ca - ASUS Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - CD / DVD Burners

CPU/Processor: Newegg.ca - AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX

Replacment Heatsink: Newegg.ca - ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler (planning on overclocking the cpu)

Memory/RAM: Newegg.ca - Patriot Viper II Sector 7 Edition 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model PV736G1600ELK

Motherboard: Newegg.ca - ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Video Card: Newegg.ca - SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100283VX-2L Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity

I am trying to get the best parts out of the least amount of money, my budget is around $1000 (canadian) and this pc is about that much $ after taxes + mail-in rebates.

Would you say this is good to run most games on very high settings (such as crysis, battlefield, gta iv, wow, etc.)

Is there anything I can do to improve this (even if it costs a little more)?

I based all these components on reviews meaning that all of them had a 5 star rating thats why I chose these parts.

This is my first time building a pc and I want to make sure its quick, reliable and stable.

Any other details you can say, everythings appericiated!

Thanks! -Marco

Switch the Hard drive from blue to black

750W is overkill if your only gonna run 1 video card
I dont think the 5770 will be able to run crysis on very high..let others verify that (Is this going to be a gaming pc?)

The mobo you selected has 2 things.
1. No need for Video Out (HDMI + Video Ports) if grabbing a video card
2. That mobo is dual channel and u selected triple channel RAM

Go for the 5870 (or 5850 if 70 is to expensive) instead and keep the 750W (Just to be on the safe side). That way if your computer room ever gets to hot or you decide to add another HDD, the computer can handle it

With the 5870 you can at least run BFBC2 on high graphics. I'm not sure about Crysis, but it would be close to high if not high. I know this is blasting your budget (100-300$), but I think it would be worth it. Wait for others to respond though :P
