I just bought a custom built tower
hey whats up
i just bought a custom built tower off craigslist. windows 7 2.5ghz 60gig hd 1 or 4 gig of ram (the kid said there was 1, but when i look in properties of my computer it says 4? weird...) nvidia gforce video card (i forgot the part no.) cd-rw & dvd-rw i have a couple questions.. 1. my cd and dvd drive are seperate, only 1 wire goes to 1. how do i get the wires to go to both drives at the same time? do i need to buy one that has 2 plugs for each drive? 2. USB or INTERNAL wireless? - use it for LIGHT gaming 3. i was trying to burn a dvd lastnight through windows media, and it never burnt, got stuck on "Preparing..." but it does play dvd 4. abit vf7 or something motherboard - any good? Thanks |

Perhaps the best way to see what all is on there (except maybe tearing apart) is to download Belarc Adviser. I am not positive, but I think you might be able to connect the DVD to the CD drive to get audio. Wait until someone else says first though.

As for the optical drives, if they are SATA, there should be a flat cable about a 1/2 in wide from each drive to the motherboard SATA ports and a power connector from the PSU to each drive.
Abit are on the low end of motherboards. A 60gig hard drive? That would make it about 4 years old or better. Hope fully the rest of the system isn't of the same vintage. USB or internal wireless what?
