First Build - Is it compatible and/or any suggestions Pleasee!!

Welcome to the PCM forums.
Biostar is rather mediocre. Get an Asus board instead. If you're not going to overclock, buy a boxed processor and use the stock HSF it comes with. EDIT: Just noticed: you've already chosen a boxed processor. You don't need an aftermarket cooler, unless you want it for show.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more! But you get GLC's blessing with the ASUS.  It has been said ASUS gives better support.

for the graphics, i hope your not falling into the name scheme trap. if your looking for the best of the best, its still with nvidia and the 480. the 6870 is about the same performance as a 5850, but based on a new architecture. its still a good card by reviews, but the name is misleading.
