New Build - Intel Gaming PC

Good afternoon,

I've switched gears and decided to go with Intel for my new build. I wanted to run these components by the experts. My biggest concern is the motherboard, I really don't how to distinguish features on many of the models. (There were about 10 ASUS models that all seemed to be so very similar)

Here is a combo deal that I am considering, it's a $30 savings:

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!

Its composed of:

Newegg.com - ASUS P7P55D-E LX LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

&&

Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-760 Lynnfield 2.8GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80605I5760

If there is a better motherboard I should be going with, then I'm open to suggestions.

I'm thinking this for RAM:

2X Newegg.com - A-DATA Gaming Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model AX3U1600GB2G9-2G

After much deliberation, I am thinking the below for my video card:

Newegg.com - MSI N460GTX Hawk GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

The other card that I was considering was:

Newegg.com - MSI N460GTX CYCLONE 1GD5/OC GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

However, its only $15 more for the Hawk.

Power Supply:

Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply (Not planning on going SLI)

I'll be going with a standard SATA DVD burner and a Western Digital Black for the hard drive. I'm also considering a Solid State Drive for my OS and Software and using the western digital to store media on.

Lastly, I want to go with wireless, so I'm thinking of picking up:

Newegg.com - Rosewill RNX-N1 IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB2.0 Wireless-N 2.0 Dongle (2T2R) Up to 300Mbps Data Rates/ WPA/WPA2 (AES, 64,128-WEP with shared-key authentication) Cisco CCS V1.0, V2.0 and V3.0 compliant/ Vista&#

I know even less about wireless NIC cards, so if anyone has a suggestion on a wireless N NIC card, I'd be very appreciative of your advice.

Thanks!

I would upgrade the motherboard to a P7P55D-E to get true USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0. The LX board doesn't have true support.

If you want 8gb ram, get a single 4gb x 2 kit.

Recommended Nvidia video card mfrs are Asus and EVGA.

I would recommend an internal PCI or PCI-E wireless card. Match your router's brand if possible.

If you want to cut costs a bit, the Corsair 650TX is more than enough for that system.
