How many monitors are you considering?

With two monitors and only a single graphics card with two ports, you can do this through XP or Windows 7.

If you want to use 3 screens then you can use an AMD 5000 or 6000 series card to do this. A single card works fine. You said "extreme gamer", therefore I would pick a 5970 since you will be driving a lot of pixels with more than one monitor.

The GTX 470 your friend recommended would be fine for playing on a single monitor. The problem is, even if you bought a second 470, you would not be able to play many games on three monitors because game writers have not developed anywhere near enough games for multiple monitors for Nvidia as they have written games for multiple monitors using AMD's Eyefinity.

You will not need two cards to drive two or more monitors adequately. Take a look at my rig in my signature. With a single 5970, I'm getting great frame rates running three 1920 x 1200 monitors. There are only a handful of games where I cannot max out the game settings and get playable frame rates.

Tell us more specifically what you want and we can get more specific with the hardware and help design a system around your needs.

How many monitors? Which applications will you be running?

If you have a source in Belgium, then let us know and we can link parts from that source. The parts model numbers are universal, no need for a translation. Or of course we can do as you described and link parts from Newegg.

If you must build an X58, the Sabertooth is as good a motherboard as any.

If you want to use a SSD, I recommend an Intel X25. The Western Digital Caviar Black is a good drive for your data.

Get a Radeon 5970 graphics card.

You will want about a 850 watt power supply, I recommend Seasonic or Corsair.

Good brands of ram are Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, and A-Data. Try to get ram that's listed on the Asus QVL tested memory list. I'd recommend a 4gb x 3 kit if you want 12gb, and unless you are going to be overclocking 1333 speed is good enough.

What make a graphic card with the same name to have different price
for example there is almost 100€ different between
Radeon EAH5870/G/2DI
and
Radeon EAH5870/2DIS/V2

what is CF intentions? (in simple words )

why not GTX 480 ? (same price)

3X 4GB or 6X 2 GB ?
Memory cooling? is this necessary?

What is wrong with an X58?

Sorry if i ask many questions, i don't want to upgrade for 2-3 years

thank you

I cannot find that G/2DI card on that site. Is it more or less expensive?

"CF"? Je ne comprends pas.

The 5870 is a stronger gaming card than a GTX480 and uses less power, makes less heat.

3X 4GB. Cooling is not necessary.

X58 can be difficult to configure correctly and made stable.

Send a message via Skype™ to Nikon
the gtx 570 is $349... check it out. it basicly slams the door in the 400 series face (exept perhaps the 460, but lets face it, the 460 performance/dollar is still really good)
it even beats out the 5970 in certain areas, and i would be terrified to see (albeit synthetic) benchmarks of these in SLI.

You recommend the gtx 570 over the Radeon 5870?
No problem about the vendor in Belgium.

Thank you

The more expensive 5870 is factory overclocked and it looks like it comes with a free game.

Oh - CF = Crossfire. That's the use of 2 video cards.

The 570 is too new for me to have any basis to recommend it. It does look very promising. However, I'd bet that if you can find one over there, it's going to be more than 350 euros.
