As per above I am new to the building of computers though very manually oriented. I currently own an HP 7867 that is a number of years old. Sufficient but not optimal. I would like to be in contact with those in the know for the flood of questions I know my effort will generate. Thanks for future attention and suggestions.

If you do decide to go ahead and build your own then you will need to tell us how much you want to spend, which applications you want to run and how fast.
