The video card is fine for general non-gaming use. The motherboard is not worth 90 bucks and I would never use one for more reasons than that.

Let's back up a bit - what components do you presently have, what do you want to do, and what is your budget?

PROBLEMS with a NEW BUILD? Try This!!

Before you spend money on a mobo which may not fix the problem.

it`s not a new build, it`s about a year and 1/2. Been having problems with it for about 6 months. Would run fin but simple programs would take a few seconds to open, and if I had to shut it down it would take about 5 boots before it would finally boot. finally the last time I ha dto shut it down it would take the normal 4 to 5 boots but would get to the point were the windows xp logo would come up then instead of booting up would just turn black and stay there. Thanks

Please don't fight us. We are trying to help you, but if you can't answer some simple questions we can't help.

Your symptoms could be indicative of a bad motherboard, but they are just as likely something else. It's just as likely a bad power supply. It could be bad ram or ANY addon card. The "new build" troubleshooting procedure is NOT JUST FOR NEW BUILDS.

Please don't post again till you are prepared to list your components. Thank you.
