Gaming PC Build for under $650

hi,

im very new to building pcs and i wanted to get some help

i don't have a very good idea of good parts and what works together but heres what im thinking. My budget is $650 (although i would like it keep it under $600) including the. I think is should have 4 gigs of ram and a 500gb hard drive. I am ok wth a AMD proccessor since they are cheaper than intel. I dont need a monitor keyboard or mouse.

thanks

I don't think Intel is very pleased, though.

Khalil, are you comfortable recommending the Corsair CX Builders series PSU's? I'm not.

I have been using them alot since I have been having such a hard time getting Seasonic, we have no problem with them, why are you not comfortable with them glc?

Here is an Antec that will do the job, the 6870 power consumption is pretty low and a 520W will work:

That case's power buttons are junk. I bought a bunch of them at one time and all of the power buttons broke and it was a pain in you know what to get them to send me replacements. I am still getting calls on that case model. I also bought a dozen of those builder series power supplies and the first one I used fried in a month. glc warned me and I sent them back.

We had no issues with them but since you guys are having issues I recommended the Antec instead. Those cases worked very well for us, there are other cases in that price range the builder can consider!

I think if you look carefully, you will find that the CX is made by Channel Well.

I've been recommending various sizes of Antec Earthwatts lately, they always seem to be on sale.

You might want to look at the 335 case instead of the 330 because of the power button issue. The Antec Three Hundred is priced pretty well too.

Wasn't Channel Well relatively good?

Meh. So-so. They were using cheap caps, which is why Antec got away from them.

Thank you, sir. Are you stuck with many of the newer ones?
