Sandy Bridge, and options?

Ok, well, my new 1155 Asus mother board is defective... sucks for me. newegg sent me an email and said as long as I use sata6 drives, I'll be ok. I planned on buying new drives for this build anyway, so I can meet that demand easily. (Youtube video with explaination: [ YouTube - Newegg TV: Sandy Bridge Design Issue Explanation & Workaround ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJcE2alQPvY)

The real issue, newegg also pulled the plug on the i7 2600k.. so I can't put a CPU on the board..

The board I bought is the: MB ASUS|P8P67 EVO P67 LGA1155 R

Should I just wait this out? The 2600k seems like a powerhouse.

What are some optional boards that I can start a new build with? I'm looking to do some hardcore gaiming and I'd like it a little future proof.

Looking for advice.

Return it. Get one when the bug's been ironed out. Or if you have to build now, get an 1156 package. Yes, this means returning the CPU as well.
