New Build- In need of Multi Card Reader
Im doing a new build, im looking for a reliable, long lasting internal multi card reader.
If anyone could provide some leads for decent multi card readers that would be great. Price right now is not of much concern, but it must remain internal for the build. Sincerely Eric of ETekCustom |

I just installed a 40-in-one Rosewill Saturday. It seems to work as advertised. I looked around a fair bit before I bought it and I couldn't find any card reader that was "bulletproof". I got the Rosewill for $5.00 shipped and thought "what the heck".

Card readers are all pretty much the same, and they are cheap. Go cheap, if it dies, just get another one. Rosewill is Newegg's house brand, if you use a different supplier just grab what they have.

And they die a lot, I stopped using them in my builds over a year ago because of the 80%+ failure rate! I have tried pretty much every brand out there.
Now I sell the card reader donggles like these Newegg.com - Aluratek AUCR200 USB 2.0 Multi-Media Card Reader we seem to have far less problem with those than we did with the Case mounted card readers.

I bought a few Mitsumi combo card reader/floppy drives. One was DOA and all the rest still work fine. When they disappeared, I bought a couple Rosewill combos and they both still work.
