Eyefinity Build Help

I have been looking at video cards lately, specifically ATI ones, and I see they have something called Eyefinity. After looking into it I found out that Eyefinity is an ability built into some ATI cards that you can run up to 6 monitors at the same time. So after giving it some thought I was wondering what it would take to build a quick multitasking computer that is able to run three monitors without lag. I'm just looking into it this and trying to see how much it may cost to do a build like this.

Thanks

Do you just want 3 monitors for work/multi tasking or do you want to be able to use Eyefinity in game?

What games do you want to work with Eyefinity?
Some will work the way you expect, some may not.

What monitors do you have?
At least one of them will have to have Display Port - native or with dual power adapters.
I find it hard to keep track of all the screen real estate on a 24" LCD at 1920 x 1080.

I think I'd be overwhelmed with Eyefinity in a first person online shooter.

I do use 3 monitors on my home/office PC though.
24" widescreen @ 1920x1080 in the middle and 19" regular on the sides @ 1280 x 1024

Very useful for multitasking with spreadsheets and remote access to servers etc.
Also I've found the extra monitor handy for monitoring temperatures and performance when gaming and tweaking OC settings.

If you want to have 3 monitors and game on 1 and have other stuff happening on the other 2, be aware that you can't just move the mouse across and interact - you'll most likley have to Alt Tab out of the game to be able to multitask on the other screens.
