HTPC Build

Hi I am planning a build but I would like this PC to go in my room on my TV stand and plug into my TV. My TV is an older TV and does not have any HDMI ports so I want to know if the cables I have chosen to to plug into the TV are any good. I don't plan to do a whole lot with this computer but surf the web maby watch online videos on it and eventually pick up a capture card and record some of my XBOX 360 gameplay.

Here are the parts:

You don't need a video card if you get a motherboard with onboard video. Apevia power supplies are junk. Recommend Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, or A-Data ram, G.skill has been having quality issues. Recommend WD hard drives, not Seagate.

Now - what type of input does your TV have? Component or composite? Composite is 3 jacks - yellow for video and red/white for audio. Component is 5 jacks - 3 for video and 2 for audio.

My TV has Component. 3 video and 2 audio I have a cable that plugs into the audio port and comes out audio. I will look into better parts like what you recommended.

Ok so I have looked and I found everything but the power supply, I just cannont find anything good within the ATX size requirements, but I do not know a lot about power supplies.

But for the other parts I have found these:

That's a lot of bucks for a motherboard - you could get a good one for considerably less in micro-ATX form factor. That's all you need.

That Apevia case is not available without a PSU, but it will take a standard ATX power supply. With onboard video, you don't need a powerhouse. Why not take a look around and see if you can find a different case you like that doesn't come with one? If you get a micro-ATX board, you can get a micro-ATX case, just make sure it will take a standard ATX PSU.

I believe this case works with an ATX power supply and this motherboard has what I need and is way cheaper:

That case also comes with a crap power supply. Can't you find something else you like? Apevia is not the only case manufacturer out there.

That one is okay.

What are the exact measurements you are dealing with?
