I agree with jdeb, except I tend to shy away from the new style corsair PSU's and stick with the old style - you can tell by the lettering. Do others feel this way? Here is the 650W corsair I would go with: Newegg.com - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Also, what are you going to be using it for? If it is going to mainly be a gaming machine, the performance is mostly in the graphics card. You could get an Athlon dual core, and either keep the money, or use the savings towards a more powerful graphics card. Since you had a quad core listed, I'd reccomend this as a decent quad core: Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor HDX840WFGMBOX Optical drive? This one looks fine to me: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...27106334-L013A Last edited by Blue Flux Blazer; 03-26-2011 at 01:09 AM. |
