non gaming rig

I'm updating the compnents list for my new build. This is going to be for my boss at work so it doesn't have to be cutting edge but good enough to last at least 3 to 5 years.

Newegg.com - Thermaltake VL84301W2Z V3 Black Edition with 430W Power Supply ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Newegg.com - ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT

Newegg.com - AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor ADX250OCGMBOX

Newegg.com - LG Black 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD±RW SuperMulti Drive - CD / DVD Burners

I also wanted to check compatability like RAM. Also, will the integrated graphics on the motherboard be enough to be used with windows 7 and watching movies?

G.skill memory scans major. Avoid it. Go with Crucial, Corsair, Kingston or A-Data.

Ah yes I just noticed that now I must of put the wrong link up there I meant these two. He just told me that he wanted wireless for his tower so either I get a motherboard with a wireless network card or get one that has it built-in.

It will make life a lot simpler if the router and the computer wi-fi have the same manufacturer.
You should check that before you buy anything.

Either the on board matches with the router or the wi-fi card your guy wants to buy does.

How exactly does it make it easier, seems inconvenient.

Belkin on Netgear, Linksys on DLink create problems.
Your guy buys the wi-fi card that matches his router and skips the hassle.

Why buy a problem you could have avoided?

Because it is more of a challenge? What would life be without its challenges?

Wait...I know the answer. Easier

But is easier still better?

Nothing worthwhile is easy. Therefore I think he is right Pam. Harder is better.
