Memory questions
Hi all,
Just a real quick question about memory. I noticed that under the specs of the motherboard I'm thinking about getting it says the memory standard is DDR3 2000 (O.C.), 1333, 1066. Are those speeds required? Or can I use a stick running at 1600? Thanks |

1600 should work, but unless you are overclocking, anything faster than 1333 will be a waste.

One more question, i noticed on this memory Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 that it says "4GB memory kit (2 x 2GB) for use with Dual Channel DDR3 Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors
Intel XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) Support XMS Heat Spreader" under features. Does that mean I need to have an intel processor running for this to work? |

No, it will work in any dual channel motherboard.
