help with basic part build

Can someone please help list out a build that would be sufficient for the following.
(internet, games, skype, photos and word processing)
We are not talking about hard core gaming, this is for a 12 year old.

It's been awhile since I've built a build from scratch and not sure where to start. I did find a link back when I was poking around a few weeks ago from here, but at least two of the links were expired or not in stock anymore.

$503.00 with shipping. You could save 100.00 using Linux Mint. There are a lot of free games and educational software available as well.
