New Build
Hi, building my 3rd PC ever here. Just wanted to make sure everything is good before i order from newegg.com. Also, tell me what you think about the monitor. I dont need HDD's because i already have those. Also, im not one who usually upgrades, i would rather build a new computer in a couple years. Any areas i can shave some dollars would be nice. Thanks!

You could save a few bucks and go with a 650 w and put that money saved towards 8GB of RAM (4x2).
Newegg.com - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-075-_-Product You don't need a CPU cooler unless you plan on doing moderate to heavy overclocking. if your into overclocking check the QVL for the RAM. And the 8gb of ram will enable you to use Win7 64-bit. May as well get it now and save. With that new build do not put Vista or XP. I'd get ddr3-1600 so you could o/c down the road if you choose, and save now.

No no no - don't put DDR3-1066 into a Sandy Bridge! 1333 for stock speeds, 1600 for overclocking. If you are NOT going to be overclocking, get the regular 2500, not the K, and use the stock cooler.
You can save a bit on the motherboard with a plain P8P67. |

I wouldn't raid them, just use them as standalones. Are they seen in device manager? Are they seen in Disk Management?

They have to be partitioned and formatted and a drive letter assigned in Disk Management before they will show in My Computer.
