it has a quality motherboard and CPU, not sure of the brand on the memory. Entry level gaming card at best as you seem to be aware of. You can upgrade memory but you only have two banks so you would proably end up replacing both. I think that brand uses ATeam memory which I would not trust but I am not 100% certain. The power supply is not a reputable brand and will be a little weak with an upgrade on the video card, you would probably be better served to replace both in the event of the upgrade so you really may not be saving any money overall by buying this system.

Building your own is not that hard. If you are not into it, you may want to check out a reputable local builder (Mom and Pop store) in your area and tell them what you are after. You may be surprised at the pricing, and quality. You may want to check out the Dell Outlet and see what they have as well.

A custom economical and reliable computer can be built for $600....probably better and faster than any factory computer. glc will have a better idea than I. It won't be a barn burner gaming machine but it will be able to run some of the less graphics intensive games at decent frame rates and settings. Just make sure you buy enough of a PSU so one day if you want you can buy a more powerful graphics card that will work with your computer. A 650 watt PSU will power almost all of the cards available.

We can put together a recipe of parts. Assembly is relatively easy by reading the guide in PCMech and the instruction book that comes with the motherboard. Any questions you have can be answered here. We are fluent in English and don't read from a troubleshooting tree as well.

That's a very tough price point for building a computer that's a suitable gaming machine. The operating system alone is 100 bucks.

Then, you have keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc...........

My first cheap gameing computer number 2!

So im going remake this thread because i could not figure out how to edit the last one anyways im looking to build a computer for 600$ for gameing i may be able to throw another 200-300$ into this if i wait a few months depending on how much i can get for 600$ .
Things i would like

3.2-3.4 ghz would be really nice

6-8 Gb ram

500gb- Hardrive really dont ever use more then 200 gb on my hard drive though

A decent graphics card that can run most things with 30+ fps im not really obsseive about my graphics but i do like my eye candy so a card that could run things medium + at least would be nice

The motherboard is really up to you guys i know almost nothing about them so :l

Sound card is the same thing as the motherboard

I would like a psu thats highly upgradble in the future for graphics card and such

Operating system can be windows 7 a crappy version is fine i can easily upgrade that in the future

Etc things like a case and whatever else i need is really your choice i could care less about what the case looks like something decent that wont overheat at a cheap price would be great

I allso have a keyboard, mouse and monitor allready

Thanks for the help!

Threads merged.

I'd recommend you wait till you can afford to throw some more money in. 600 bucks won't get you a very good gamer, especially with your listed wants. Here's the kind of thing you should be looking at, and it's 800 bucks. In a few months, we would have to reexamine the whole list because things WILL change.

Bookmark this thread, and when you have the $$$ bring it back up instead of opening a new one, please!

However, if you LIKE that case, order it RIGHT NOW - with the promo code, free shipping, and rebate you cannot get any other name brand case for anywhere close to that price. There's nothing else on that list that would stand out as being a "must buy now" item.
