Switch the HDD for the WD Caviar Black 6 Gb/s 64 mb cache
Maybe consider going for the i5-2500 instead of the i3? |

If you are not going to be overclocking, get 1333 speed 1.5 volt ram. The Vengeance is good ram, but the heatsink design is crap. If you ARE going to be overclocking, get the i5-2500K.
Concur with the hard drive suggestion. I'm going to close your original thread. |

More and more games now can use more than 2 cores. I mentioned the i5-2500K because it has an unlocked multiplier for easy overclocking, if you are so inclined.
FSX is one of the few games where the CPU is as important as the GPU. Go for a quad, it can use every bit of it, and the faster the better. |

Intel Core i3 i3-2100 vs Intel Core i5 i5-2500
Click the "Performance" tab. You can decide for yourself, but it seems like it shouldn't affect gaming too much go with the i3. The i5 would just be a great investment for future games. Last edited by Sourtop; 05-16-2011 at 03:07 PM. |

However, the latest version of FSX is optimized for multi-threading and multi-core. A quad is significantly better than a dual.

Quad it is. But anything more (six core) is over kill? I hope the new flight sim Microsoft Flight, won't be using six cores.
Thanks so much GLC and Sourtop |

The only six core processor that you can afford isn't particularly powerful.

The i5-2500k is only $15 more if you think you might be interested in doing any sort of mild overclocking in the future.
It might just be a typo in what you listed but go for Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive. You have the 3.0 gb/s listed there. |

Not a problem!
The HAF cases have amazing air flow and I really like how they look too. I have a HAF 922 and its fantastic. |

Got some stuff today. The case HOLY CRAP HUGE. So I guess I can do a PSU top or bottom. Thoughts? Also thinking I'm going to upgrade the PSU should I or not?

You don't need to upgrade your PSU. It will power any graphics card you can buy with ease (possibly all/most sli configurations too?).
PSU on bottom would be my suggestion. If the HAF 932 is anything like the 922 its designed for better power cable management if the PSU is on the bottom. |

Coolermaster recommends a bottom mount for a single PSU - the top mount is for a redundant unit for servers or a dedicated PSU for the video card.

You need to use Disk Management to partition and format the second drive before it can be assigned a drive letter and appear in My Computer.
