Not sure how many 12v Rails & PCI-E connectors I need

Looked over What Power Supply should I get? How many Watts? Who made it? Guide Inside.

PSU calcs say 550w should be enough but I just want to check.

I have 4 Sata Power hdd's now and a Sata optical. I guess I'd like 6 sata plugs.

Bit uncertain on number of 12v rails & PCI-E connectors I need.

Will get GTX 570
GTX 570 Requirements:
Minimum of a 550 power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 38 Amps.) Two available 6-pin PCI-E power dongles

Not sure about the 38amps either. Most Neweggs specs say something in the 20's

"+3.3V@25A, +5V@25A, +12V1@20A, +12V2@20A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@3.0A"
or
+3.3V@24A, +5V@24A, +12V1@25A, +12V2@25A, +12V3@25A, -12V@0.5A, +5VSB@3.0A

Planning on buying:

Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K

Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL8D-4GBXM

Newegg.com - EVGA 012-P3-1571-KR GeForce GTX 570 HD w/Display-Port (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Newegg.com - Intel 510 Series (Elm Crest) SSDSC2MH120A2K5 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
or
Newegg.com - Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

I'd go with Newegg.com - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply It has a solid single 12v rail w/ 52amps. Dual rails are somewhat more questionable.

Or, if you want to spend a little more, get a modular: Newegg.com - CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-650HX 650W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

A single rail on a quality PSU is all you need.

Wasnt convinced on the 1866 realworld differece over the 1600 and that confirms it.

Thanks for the update on Gskill GLC. I was going by what Khalil's hardware recs stated for memory on the forum's sticky.
*Perhaps* an update is needed on that thread?
