I'm looking for the deal on the internet. Do you have a link?
I don't see ASUS listing an R3 board....is this the regular P8P67 Rev 3.0 board or something different? This one?...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-705-_-Product Lately I have been thinking of getting an 1155 board with 2 x 16 PCIe slots and this might be the deal I have been looking for. Seems a waste to spend an extra $100 for a 2600K when a 2500K is so easily overclockable.

If you scroll down to the bottom it seems the Hyper 212+ is on sale for $10 too.
Sorry, I read the "a" as a "+". Its not a Hyper 212+ ... and its only for AMD

David, that's not the board you want - with 2 cards it runs at X16/X4. You need a Pro, Evo, Deluxe, or Sabertooth to run at X8/X8 or a WS Revolution to run at X16/X16.
The cooler that's on sale is a Hyper 101a for AMD. Last edited by glc; 05-20-2011 at 09:47 AM. |

Thanks glc. So the Revolution is the only P67 ASUS board that runs two PCIe slots at 16 graphics lanes each?
Not sure what x16/x4 means. 4 PCIe slots each at 16 lanes? Last edited by David M; 05-20-2011 at 11:36 AM. |

No, the first slot runs at X16 and the second slot only runs at X4. Neither the P67 or Z68 can run 2 slots both at X16 without a NF200 bridge.
