New Build Help..

Hey everyone,
Im a new PC enthusiast, so I decided the best way to learn and enjoy my new hobby is to build myself a PC from scratch. My goal is to build something FAST that I will be able to download movies (Bluray) as well as gaming therefore I would like a good video card. So far this is what I've put together on my own with some research. I don't really have a budget however because it's my first build Im sure there will be mistakes and I would like to keep the cost reasonable approx $1000-1500 so I can make changes and upgrades in the future. Also, Ive been told overclocking is ok but I've read contraindicating information. Please advise on what I've put together and any suggestions to decrease the price without sacrificing function. Thanks for the help. This forum has been the most helpful with my research and I appreciate any and all input. Please feel free to add anything Im missing such as hard drive etc.

You still need an OS, optical drive and a case.

Have a look at the good, the bad and the ugly. I think it's helpful to learn the good brands from the not-so-good brands.
What Power Supply should I get? How many Watts? Who made it? Guide Inside.

Look here for Khalil's guide to the best computer hardware brands.

For a first time build you probably don't want a Peltier cooler. The 2500K you chose will overclock quite well on a typical aftermarket air cooler...into the 4 Ghz range. Peltier coolers are for extreme overclocking and no offense, would not benefit someone relatively new to building computers. Also, once you get past a certain point with an overclock, the benefits drop off pretty quick. In my opinion, Peltier coolers are pretty much for showboating.

No offense take. I am new at this so I expect to make mistakes. I will be running Windows 7 which I already have. Any suggestions as far as case goes that would be compatible with what I've chosen. Also any other downgrade suggestions. Ive chosen this as my optic drive. Thanks again

I use PNY cards for workstations only. For desktops, I would recommend EVGA for reliability, stability, and customer support. PNY's support is lacking on the desktop side.
Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1380-KR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) SSC+ 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

The new power supply is perfect.

Do not buy anything with the brand name Ultra. A good CPU air cooler for better than stock overclocking is this, However, if you are doing moderate overclocking than the stock cooler is fine... If you are so inclined...
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7

If you are going to extend your overclocks to the limit, than I would go with this... Great care to the installation instructions is required.
Newegg.com - CORSAIR Hydro H70 CWCH70 120mm High Performance CPU Cooler

Good memory but handle them with care when installing. The heatsinks are fragile and can fall apart. If you are careful, they are fine. They still have not corrected the problem, or least the batch I am about to install has not.

The fact that you were looking at Ultra tells me you are buying from Tiger Direct. Not recommended.

Look at one of the Asus P8Z68 motherboards.

Get a Western Digital Black SATA 6.0 hard drive. That Samsung is a slow drive made for storage, not really that good for a primary OS drive.
