Looking for some build advice
Hey guys I've been wanting to build my own PC for a while now, and I think I have a setup that I am fairly happy with. I just wanted to post my parts list up to see if anybody would recommend something different before I go buying anything. So here it goes:
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 CASE: COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced RC-932-KKN5-GP RAM: 8GB (4x2GB) G.SKILL NS GRAPHIC CARD: EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1461-KR GeForce GTX 560 POWER SUPPLY: OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W Modular I was also planning to overclock, and wanted to use this extra fan: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 Anybody have any suggestions? Any help is much appreciated. |

If you are planning to overclock, you will want the K series CPU i5-2500K the Hyper 212+ is great for moderate overclocking on air.
We prefer Asus boards over Gigabyte but Gigabyte's are a good choice, just not our first choice. We recommend Crucial, Corsair, Kingston, or ADATA memory for stability and reliability. If you are going to be over clocking, then the 1.5v Corsair Vengeance are the way to go. Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8. the heatsinks on them are a little flimsy, so be careful with them. The power supply we recommend on here is the Corsair 650W enthusiast. Great quality and value. Newegg.com - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply |
