~$1000-$1200 Gaming Build
Approximate Purchase Date: This week
Budget Range: $1000-1200 System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, watching movies Parts Not Required: cpu, mouse, keyboard, optical drive Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com Country of Origin: USA Parts Preferences: NVidia Overclocking: Maybe SLI or Crossfire: Eventually. I'm currently leaning towards a single, 570gtx which I'll get another of eventually Monitor Resolution: No Preference Additional Comments: Apparently my dad wants to buy a new comp, so instead I offered to just give him mine and take the opportunity to build myself a new one. I've set myself a budget of around $1000 to build a new gaming rig, and was wondering if anyone could give some advice of the best use of my money. So far the only component I've bought has been - Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K I got it on sale a few days ago for $210. So I still have ~$800-1000 left. I'm also unsure about a Monitor. I can still use my current monitor, but I'd prefer something can do better than 1440x900 |

With glc's components and this monitor you would be right around 1060$.
Newegg.com - ASUS VE258Q Black 25" 2ms HDMI LED Backlight Widescreen LCD Monitor w/Display Port & Speakers 250 cd/m2 50,000,000:1 ASCR
