Hi! I need a new computer for université (3d Animation). I have basic knowledge in computer, but not enough to build my own computer alone. So I asked my friend to help me. He built a good computer, but he asked me to check with other people just in case that he made a mistake somewhere. Here is what he suggested:

Replace the motherboard with an Asus P8Z68-V.
Replace the OCZ SSD with an Intel 510. Replace the OCZ PSU with a Corsair 650TX. |

Thanks for the reply! I have a few questions for you:
1. Why do I replace the OCZ SSD with an Intel 510? OCZ Agility 3: Maximum Read Transfer Rate 525 MBps Maximum Write Transfer Rate 500 MBps Intel 510: Maximum Read Transfer Rate 450 MBps Maximum Write Transfer Rate 210 MBps And the Intel 510 is about 100$ more then the OCZ Agility. 2. And what is better about the Asus P8Z68-V? Thank you!

Salut,
GLC a beaucoup d'experience. Good luck understanding what i said GLC!

From Google Translate:
He advises you to take the intel SSD because it is his vote of confidence! Asus, again, is recommended around these forums. It is THE brand for motherboards. Personally, do not worry and follow the advice of GLC. I have taken quite literally what he had to say about my computer. I build a month ago, and it works perfectly. It's cool to see other people from Quebec like you here! ---------------------------------- I recommended the Intel SSD from a reliability standpoint. It's the only brand of SSD that I totally trust. I recommended the motherboard because it's a Z68 chipset, which is better than the P67. J'ai recommandé le SSD d'Intel à partir d'un point de vue fiabilité. C'est la seule marque de SSD que je suis totalement confiance. J'ai recommandé la carte mère parce que c'est un chipset Z68, qui est mieux que le P67. |

What software will you be running? Is this 3D software that requires Nvidia Quadro cards and Xeon processors? Better make sure your friend knows.

A GeForce 570 is a good choice for all that software. Both the Autodesk and Adobe products can take advantage of Nvidia's CUDA technology, and the 570 has 480 CUDA cores. Even the $3800 Quadro 6000 doesn't have that many CUDA cores.
