Best 2600k Motherboard

So my 'acquaintance' is being incredibly stupid with his money, as he received a large amount of it. He's planning on taking the motherboard out of a brand new alienware computer for his new computer (mind you he's buying this alienware). Totally stupid right?

So I'm telling him he could get a great motherboard instead, if he just bought a separate motherboard (obviously).

So I'm wondering, what is the best motherboard for someone using a 2600k primarily for gaming and coding. Money isn't an issue (lucky son of a gun)

Money no object?

Newegg.com - ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

He will need a case that will take an EATX board.

Some of the alieware (Dell) cases are reversed, none of the motherboards at newegg will work with those systems!

Why do they do that? It can't be any sort of better design reason. It must be an economical reason... like selling overpriced Dell parts?
