First time building, look over my choice?

This is my first time building a desktop, and so naturally I'm a bit nervous (and excited!) about it. I've gone through Newegg and chosen parts according to my budget (800 - 1k), and I'd like someone, if you have the time, to check and see if I have everything, and each part will work with eachother. I also had some questions:
1. Is 600 W enough for this rig?
2. Would you recommend any different parts?
3. Do I need to purchase cables to connect anything with anything?
4. I'm also having trouble picking out a case, any suggestions?

Thanks for your time.

Motherboard: ASRock 890GX PRO3 AM3 AMD 890GX HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD

Go with Asus, AsRock is the refuse from Asus! Newegg.com - ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
You want the AM3+ so you have the choice to upgrade to a Bulldozer later!

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 3.3GHz, 3.7GHz Turbo 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDE00ZFBGRBOX
Awesome CPU

Video Card: MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support
Good Video Card, decent brand I would go with an Evga so you get the lifetime warranty when you register it!

Monitor: ASUS VH238H Black 23" Full HD HDMI LED Backlight LCD Monitor w/Speakers 250 cd/m2 ASCR 50,000,000:1

Internal HD: HITACHI Deskstar 7K3000 HDS723015BLA642 (0F12114) 1.5TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Good Hard Drive, I like this one a lot, with 5 year warranty!

Wireless Card: Rosewill RNX-N300 Wireless N Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI (1T2R) Up to 300Mbps download and 150 Mbps upload Data Rates/ WPA/WPA2 (AES, 64,128-WEP with shared-key authentication) Cisco CCS V1.0, V2.0 and V3.0 compliant/ Vista/ Win7

Power Supply: SILVERSTONE Strider Essential series ST60F-ES 600W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC
Go with this instead
Newegg.com - Antec BP550 Plus 550W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M4A1600C9

DVD-ROM Drive: SONY Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model DDU1681S-0B - OEM
Better parts make better machines! If you plan on gaming you might want to consider a GTX570

Smile New Parts, Opinion?

I posted earlier on here with a list of the parts that I had chosen for building my first gaming comp. My budget has changed to about $1200, so I chose some new parts, and would like your opinion on the change.

All in all, the build comes out to $1186, so there's a little wiggle room with the parts. Any suggestions?

Also, I've been using Nvidia graphics cards all my life, and have never used a AMD graphics card. Is this a good choice? Is there something better for a similar price?

Thanks all, your help is really appreciated!

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990X SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
