Seeking your wisdom again

Thanks to you wonderful members you helped me build a nice desktop, but I now feel it's time to build a new one to make it more suited for the games I'm currently playing (Rift, future MMO's and Diablo 3 20 years from now when it releases.)

I was actually looking at this thread and the OP was recommended a build by Khalil which pretty much fits what I'm looking for.

To save you some clicking here was their recommendation:

Newegg.com - ASUS 24X DVD Burner - Bulk 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM Black SATA Model DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS - CD / DVD Burners
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD5002AALX 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 Black SECC/ ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Newegg.com - Antec EarthWatts EA-650 GREEN 650W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Newegg.com - Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT25664BA1339
Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-2300 Sandy Bridge 2.8GHz (3.1GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52300
Newegg.com - HIS H697F2G2M Radeon HD 6970 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity
Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - Operating Systems

This is pretty much what I was looking to make, with an upgrade of 8GB of RAM from the listed 4. I'm assuming this would be ok? I'm also looking to get a better hard drive but am unsure of which.

As for my budget, all I need is the tower and I'm trying to keep it at $1000, possibly as high as $1200 if there is something that's a significant upgrade from what is listed.

Any and all help is welcome. Thank you.

-Mark

Great list of parts, I would go for the 8GB, ram is cheap right now. The WD Black is probably the best mechanical drive for gaming.
I would spend a little more and get the 1TB those MMOs are getting bigger and bigger.

This will be a great gaming rig!

If you have the extra $35 to burn you could up the CPU to a i5-2500k to open yourself up to overclocking in the future if you're interested. It probably wouldn't do much to increase your PC's gaming performance though!
