Trying to install windows. !!!!!!!!!!!
I have a cpu I am working on and it doesn't have any disk drives, I usually just install a drive and install windows and then take my drive back out. But the one I am working on now I assume was made to except a sata drive (which I don't have.) I was going to try an install it with a flash drive but the one I have available is only 1 gb (which I usually need at least 2gb.) I was wondering is there a way I can install setup on the drive of the cpu (using my usb to sata adapter.) and then put the harddrive back into the original cpu and run it??? Or can I put the hard drive in another computer and install setup that way??? (I have already tried the and I got the error message after I did.) Please Help !!!!!

When you say the cpu doesn't have any disk drives do you actually mean it doesn't have any optical drives? If so, you could get an external USB DVD drive to do the install. You would need to change the boot order to boot from USB.
It isn't a good idea to install Windows on one machine and then move the drive to another unless the 2 machines are pretty much identical hardware-wise.

Or if that 1G thumbdrive is limiting you, how about this: 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive for $7?

I use a USB 3 external enclosure with a 100gb 7200 rpm HDD in it, I have it partitioned and one partition bootable that I keep windows 7 and rescue programs on. I keep all my other must have programs like MSE, ccleaner, malwarebytes, plus any additional custom programs someone request on the second partition. This way when I go to install windows on a machine, just about every piece of software I need is all on one device.
