Hey there and welcome to the boards!

So for starters, I should ask you a couple of questions!

1. What will this computer be used for?

2. Are you okay with getting a 64-bit version of Windows 7? (the reason being is so you can utilize more than 4gigs of RAM - 32bit versions cannot utilize more than 4gigs of RAM max)

3. Do you plan/care to overclock any components?

4. In the future, what do you want to be able to upgrade and how powerful will you want it to be? This is important for choosing the right power supply and motherboard features.

Get back to us with those questions answered and we can throw together a build that has quality components and are compatible with each other.

Just to give you some general info, the motherboard and CPU are not compatible(the motherboard says LGA 1155 while the CPU says LGA 1156). I would recommend going with the 1155 series of processors as they are newer and very powerful! For your hard drive I would get a Western Digital Caviar Black drive, the 6.0gbs version - Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

I would also get a better brand power supply, an Antec or Corsair.

Again, we will throw all of this together for you when you get back to us! If you want to know the "why" of our decisions, there is plenty of information around the board don't be afraid to poke around!

Hope this helps,

Hippo

1. What will this computer be used for?

It will be used for mainly, character modeling and 3D animation, and occasionally gaming;COD, skyrim(i know spec not release yet), Diablo 3

2. Are you okay with getting a 64-bit version of Windows 7? (the reason being is so you can utilize more than 4gigs of RAM - 32bit versions cannot utilize more than 4gigs of RAM max)

yes i am ok with that, but is being able to utilize more than four gigs the only difference between the two?

3. Do you plan/care to overclock any components?

in the future, but not now

4. In the future, what do you want to be able to upgrade and how powerful will you want it to be? This is important for choosing the right power supply and motherboard features.

Yes, i will be upgrading it over time and replacing my 9800 gt with 2 SLI capable ones and maxing out the memmory.

The motherboard and power supply I recommended are not SLI-capable. You need to increase your budget or forego SLI. If you want to max out the memory, you DEFINITELY need 64 bit, and I'd recommend 8 gigs now. Also, you should get a different processor if you plan on overclocking.

Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K

Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R

Newegg.com - Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-750 750W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V v2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

A K version of the 1155 socket CPU's means it can be overclocked.

The non-K processors have locked multipliers which makes it a lot more difficult to overclock. The K's overclock REAL easily.

I'd recommend you hold off a bit till you can increase your budget. 600 bucks isn't going to get you what you want.

I think I should have said that overclocking a non-K processor is very limited, so limited that it is not even worthwhile.
