New SSD install..
OK so im installing a new vertex 3 boot drive into my rig.... (X58A-UD5)
i have been doing allot of reading and have found that my mobo's marvell 9128 controller will not fully support 6.0 Gbps (sata3). iv also read that it is a waste of time trying as this controller is a dud.... SO.... i guess i will have to run it on a ICH10R intel SATA II port. Question 1... is this correct? Question 2... how do i change from IDE to AHIC mode on the intel sata II controller? thanks |

(silly question really)
im running all my drives on the intel controller in [a] mode now.. seems to be good. ((no 6 megabitspersecond but ohwell, OCZ-V3 sandforce boot is lush! even at sata II !!!!)) ![]()
