Crucial are a great brand but their Balistix line is not desireable. Stick to regular Crucial, Kingston, Corsair or ADATA
Samsung makes great monitors and TVs but they have no business making hard drives or optical drives. I recomend WD. For that video card a 400-450W power supply is more than sufficiant, I recomend, Seasonic or Antec. |

If your friend wants to do any gaming, he is going to need more than a 210 video card. Also, a WD Black is a much better drive than a Blue - faster and longer warranty.

Could you suggest a good video card under $100?

Is he going to be gaming? If so, a $100 gaming card will be a disappointment if he wants to play most of the newer graphics intensive games. I suggest something in the $200-$300 range at the very least.

Ok, i'll let him know he'll have to shell out the extra $ for gaming.
One more question, would that motherboard be able to unlock the 3rd and 4th cores? |

Can this board unlock the 3rd and 4th cores?
Quick overview of Motherboard with ability needed to unlock cores: 1.Advanced Clock Calibration (ACC; present on the SB710 & SB750 motherboard.) 2.Core Unlocker, Turbo Unlocker (or any other name given to motherboards by the maker to replace ACC which isn't present in the SB800 Series.) 3.NVCC (Present on some nForce 7 series and all nForce 9 Series motherboard.) A little bit of luck (arguably the most important part.)
