OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit cpu: Intel Core™ i7-2600K (8MB Cache) Overclocked 3.9GHz gpu: 3GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 psu: 875W Multi-GPU Approved Power Supply ram: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz hdd: 1TB SATA 3Gb/s (7,200RPM) 32MB Cache mother board will be picked out later, something that will handle it all well with a nice case |

You will want a 6 Gb/s hard drive for the current motherboards. Go with the Z68 Asus board. You may want to consider the addition of a smaller SSD hard drive for SSD caching with the Z68 chipset. Get the Corsair Vengeance 1.5V Ram for the Z68 Chipset as well, it is available in low profile now in the event you go with one of those large aftermarket coolers. .

We need brands of the components you have chosen, please.
1600 speed ram is best for the Z68 chipset. |

Given it's a gamer and you seem to have a a good sized budget, this is what I would buy...
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131730 Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115070 CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Profile http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820233186 CORSAIR Professional Series HX750 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...0&Tpk=750%20hx Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136533 ASUS ENGTX590/3DIS/3GD5 GeForce GTX 590 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121436 I would have picked the EVGA 590 but Newegg is out of stock. Asus cards are still top quality. LITE-ON Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model iHDS118-04 - OEM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106276 Or you might want a BluRay player. Corsair Graphite Series 600T CC600TM Mid-Tower Gaming Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811139007 A case is mostly about what you think looks good, but this case is good quality. Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116986 The total comes out to $1526 before tax and shipping. If you want to overclock a decent amount then you will need an aftermarket heatsink. If you do not want to overclock then you will not need the "K" CPU.
