I like to know if this build is good enough for upcoming games such as Battlefield 3 and Diablo 3
and if all these parts are compatible (especially if PSU cables are long enough for case like HAF X).

Other recommendations for monitor, keyboard, speaker, and mouse will be also very helpful.

Thank you!

Yes. Asrock is a 3rd rate manufacturer. If you don't want an Asus, get a Gigabyte or MSI.

Not really, but what you might do is get a small SSD to use with the main hard drive in caching mode - that's a feature of the Z68 chipset.

Newegg.com - Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

I'd say SSDs are worth buying for a gaming computer; not sure how well Intel or Crucial SSDs are performance wise, but I have a Corsair F120 (Sandforce) SSD and my OS, games and apps load many times faster than with a normal 7200RPM hard drive. I'm still not 100% sure about their reliability, my first F120 died after 2 months when my computer shutoff during a thunderstorm (I got a replacement from memoryexpress since i had instant product replacement). 2nd F120 has been running great for the last 4 months and I bought a UPS, so no problems with power going out.

Regarding ram, I would go for 16GB right now with the prices so low; if you get a matched set of 4 now, it'll save you the hassle of getting matched ram later on, and you won't need to upgrade the ram for a really long time. I currently have 16GB of Corsair Vengeance ram (similar to the one GLC linked, but the normal height version), I also used the G SKILL ram (2 sets) you linked earlier in a recent build and I've had good results with both. No problems running them in XMP and I've ran memtest86+ on both for about 5hrs each with no errors.

I see. I guess I will stick with Asus then.

What about PSU? is 750 PSU overkill for my single card set-up?

Should I lower it down to 650 to save some money?

You can. 650 is enough for a single card.

Okay.

And as for PSU cables in my HAF X Case.

Will it be long enough to make cables go behind the case?

Do I need any cable extensions?

Corsair TX cables should be long enough - but have you considered a modular for better cable management?

So this PSU has longer cables? Hmm I see there is barely any price difference.

Both bronze rating.

The HX series is Corsair's original modular design. It's one step above the TX in their model line.
