Sturdy Laptop
Hey all,
This forum is solely responsible for my success in building my current desktop rig. Now, I am in need of your expertise once more. I am a Trader and i need a sturdy, quick and reliable laptop to trade from. My current sony is not reliable and all together sucks compared to a custom built rig. I realize building a laptop will be more difficult than a desktop, but I think i could do it. There are some builds here that i would like to model from: Trading Computers - Laptops My budget is ~$2k. Look forward to hearing what you guys have to say. Thanks!

Yes - and other sturdy laptops to look at would be the Lenovo Thinkpads and the Dell Latitudes. If you want something REALLY sturdy, look at the Panasonic Toughbooks.

While building your own laptop is doable, it is just not the best rout. You usually end up with something more expensive that doesn't work as well as something you could have just bought.

Still haven't got one, but the deadline for when i need one is fast approaching. This thread title isn't really a good one, it should have read: "Capable, fast, large display Notebook"
Have been doing a lot of thinking since this post and have narrowed down what I would like: a laptop that is very fast (like my desktop i built with all your help!). I also need a large display. I liked ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Notebooks- ASUS NX90Jn but I am not sure if it will be fast enough for Lightspeed trading platform.. maybe you guys have some input.. thanks in advance
