I would drop the 2500K for an i5-2300
I would drop the 850 Power supply and get a 750W I would drop the Nvidia 570 and get a 580

I have no problems with your list as posted, as long as it does fit your budget.

Hi, I got two questions. Are you going to overclock and are you going to do ssd caching? 2500k + H80 sorta says you are. Why not get a nice p67 board instead of the z68 if you're not going to use ssd caching.

What's wrong with the Z68? It's what the P67 *SHOULD* have been.

There's nothing wrong with the z68 board, just no point in paying for the extra features if you're not going to use them. I didn't see any mention of a ssd and he's building a gaming pc with a pretty good gpu. The only time I'd see the OP using the onboard gpu is if he suspects the 570 isn't functioning.

If you are doing anything else with the computer besides gaming, the onboard video can be teamed with the card using Virtu to give you more flexibility.
I also don't see much, if any, of a price difference between P67 and Z68 boards. |
